Dear Heavenly Father,
I continue to open my heart to You and You are always faithful to fill it. I can bring You worry, fear, frustration, and even despair, but I can walk away with peace, confidence, and renewed perspective. What a gracious and wonderful Father!
I thank You for this relationship that goes beyond some self-help and therapy, but fundamentally changes me inside and out—all the way down to my DNA. I am a brand new creation in Christ; the old has gone, the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
I pour out the selfishness, lacks, inconsistencies, and all that on the altar of surrender. Those you’ve called me to lead are a blessing and a joy. I’ll say as Paul did to the Philippian church that if it means they’ll hold on to the word of life, I’ll be poured out like a drink offering and I’ll rejoice at what You’re doing, Lord.
No matter how much I pour out, I cannot compete with how You fill me up. It’s not about me, and I’m thankful for that too! I stand firm according the grace that has arrested me, but I can never add to that grace or the power of Your love and Holy Spirit that sustains and propels us forward.
I pour out the extraneous and what seems like such a measly offering for such a magnificent, holy God—and once again, I am filled with gratitude. You bought me. You saved me. You called me by name. You equipped me. You sent me. You will be faithful to complete the work You started.
I just come today to marvel at You, to gaze into your beauty with slack-jawed wonder. That you would even invite me to do so is more than my puny mind can comprehend. Though the word has been cheapened through overuse in our day, I have to exclaim, Father, You are truly and unattainably awesome!
May my life reflect your glory, mercy, and truth…in Jesus’ name. Amen.
I also have a prayer request if you would. Breakthrough Church is having special meetings throughout the weekend and there’s another at 7 PM tonight. Would you pray with me that the abiding presence of God will be evident to all and people’s lives will be radically transformed by the message of truth proclaimed? I appreciate it!

Praying for His presence to fill each one, not for just a moment, but in life-altering ways.
Still hard for us all to imagine that we are each the home in which He desires to abide.

Amen, Karin. Thank you.
As I read your prayer, I couldn’t help but praise Him. I’ve found none like Him. Indeed He is amazing. Such a sweet spirit shines through your prayer. Agreeing with you in prayer that the Spirit of the Lord would abide in the services tonight and that lives would be changed.
Amen- there is no one like our God! Thank you Wanda. I appreciate the prayers.
Hi Jason,
I’m both encouraged and strengthened by your prayer and confession. I find myself particularly reflecting on your words, “if it means they’ll hold on to the word of life, I’ll be poured out like a drink offering” — How blessed to be offered up as others come to know and embrace the risen Savior.
Blessings and peace.

Blessings Jason… Did you feel the earth shake during your meeting this evening? Did you see the people tremble? Well, I hope all the Sweet P’s were joining me, joining you in PRAYING for RADICAL TRANSFORMATION! I stormed the gates after reading this heartfelt prayer of honest repentance & a heart after God.
Did Breakthrough Church feel a break through happening in the Presence of the Almighty and the Holy Spirit’s power? Well, I pray that they did and they heard and they listened with hearts prepared to hear the message of Truth!
When a beloved pastor writes a humbling prayer like this for all to read, I stand in awe at the Magnificent Power of God touching and speaking to a man or any of us with such a conviction, and then a precious love offering for the One who deserves it all! This is our heart cry to Our Lord for the wonder we behold in Christ Jesus! The awesome privilege to serve!
Reading your words makes me all the more thankful to HIM and I am aMazed and in awe of His awesome grace. He truly has a beautiful servant in you! Keep your eyes focused on Him and the calling. You are equipped. Oh…and I love your most recent songs that I sampled on your CD. A true blessing. May you sense His Presence as you’re heart was ready, prepared & willing, and if your church even has an ounce of that hunger & thirst, you will receive all that you ask & seek in Jesus name.
It’s an honor to pray with you & for your church. I was in church at this time that you asked for prayer and I truly did PRAY a mountain moving faith filled prayer believing for what you asked and MORE of HOLY SPIRIT POWER & MIGHT pouring out & flowing over you & the entire meeting. God is good all of the time!
We serve an AWESOME ALMIGHTY FATHER who loves you and your family, personal and church!
In Christ’s love & peace,
Peggy

This is so encouraging, Peggy! And yes, we had a powerful meeting with Jesus last night. I appreciate the prayers and pray multiplied blessings for you as well. What a great God!
Hi Jason,
I prayed and read your prayer this weekend, however I didn’t get to comment then. My iTouch is hard to sign in and comment on blog because screen is small. We went out of town too.
So I am back today to tell you I so appreciate your prayer. Like the others, I felt a praise inside me and amens.
I’m thankful to read your prayer night was powerful. Prayer times are always a gift to my heart. I’m so thankful you are gathering your church to pray. There will be much fruit from this time together.
May God bless your week. God is with you. May His love flow in and through you.
Peace and grace,
