Breathing Room, Safe Harbor

Sanctuary–

1 : a place (as a church or a temple) for worship

2 : a place of refuge and protection

Welcome to my sanctuary this week. This is a Sanctuary:Remix using a photo from 2011.

Meditating on the beauty He’s created and the power of His words…

 Psalm 62:5-8 (The Message)

 God, the one and only—
I’ll wait as long as he says.
Everything I hope for comes from him,
so why not?
He’s solid rock under my feet,
breathing room for my soul,
An impregnable castle:
I’m set for life.

My help and glory are in God
—granite-strength and safe-harbor-God—
So trust him absolutely, people;
lay your lives on the line for him.
God is a safe place to be.

Running to You, my breathing room and safe harbor.
Trusting you with the days, trusting with the nights.
The only safety is in taking refuge in You.

God is too good to be unkind, too wise to be mistaken; and when you cannot trace His hand, you can trust His heart.

–Charles Spurgeon

What’s your sanctuary this week? What thought, verse, etc. are you meditating on?

  1. Ya dun good as usual! And I’m a solid rock addict, and love the Lord as a Rocker. And I have lots of rocks in my yard and house in really nice places and I always think of Him. And I have rocks from quite a number of our states and from a few nations. Anyhow, you just grabbed my attention. It’s always a blessing to see what you’ve done. Hope to see you either on earth or in Heaven. 😉

    • I love that idea, Joanne! When I go different places I don’t like to get souvenir-type things. I like to find something that stands out whether I buy it or find out so it doesn’t just sit in a closet or storage bin somewhere! That would be great to have rocks. We do have shells from many places. 🙂 Thanks so much!

      • Sorry to bug you, but outside of our nation, even though thousands of them in our yard and house, some from Uganda, Morocco, Costa Rica. I can’t NOT smile when I see the rocks. It was amazing to be in those places when the Lord put me in Morocco w/o my husband. Bless you!! 😉

        • 🙂 You’re never bugging me, Joanne! Bless you too!
