Exposing the Real Fraud

Several years ago, I used to regularly receive emails from dear friends or family members who were forwarding emails telling of horrible things this or that company had done, repackaged urban legends, or promises of gifts or prizes if you posted something or acted in some way.

Depending on who sent it and how busy I was at the moment, I might ignore it. Many times, I would seek to verify it on the site, snopes.com, to see whether what was being conveyed as truth had any basis in reality (9 out of 10 times it did not).

I know, I know–I’ve shattered your reality. If you can’t believe everything you see online or receive electronically, what can you count on? Bear with me.

Consider this verse:

Your testimonies are fully confirmed;
Holiness befits Your house,
O Lord, forevermore. –Psalm 93:5 (NASB)

Something about that resonated inside me. His testimonies, His word, have been completely confirmed. Every testimony of scripture whether it was the children of Israel crossing the Red Sea or Daniel in the lion’s den or John receiving revelation on the Isle of Patmos–it’s fully verified and available to every believer.

It’s sealed by His holiness–literally, His otherness–and He won’t go back on it. Why then do you see certain promises that seem elusive and unfulfilled?

Sometimes our doubt gets in the way. Sometimes our traditions. Sometimes our ignorance. Sometimes our unwillingness to take the steps He asks us to follow.

There are lots of reasons, but if you start from a position of all of your testimonies are fully confirmed then you are ahead of the game! If you can grasp the enormity (and honestly we are all still trying) that every promise and truth of scripture is alive and available to us, you’re unstoppable.

The enemy tries to convince you that every setback is a denial. He wants you to believe every roadblock is an ending, every mountain a punishment. He wants you to believe God is the fraud. However, if you are who God says you are and He is Who He says He is, you see there’s no fraud in Him. You see only testimonies confirmed.

This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. –1 John 1:5

I pray the light of the truth will wash over you and wash over me. The light exposes every condemnation, accusation, and settling for less. Realize that His promises, His word, His testimonies are confirmed! Celebrate it! Live in it!

Don’t back down until you glimpse the holiness adorning His house because the promise fulfilled is not about you or your comfort as much as it is pointing to Him.

What are your thoughts on this? Is this encouraging to you as it was to me? What keeps you from seeing His testimonies as “confirmed”?

  1. My own self gets in the way of seeing His word confirmed. This is a touching message! Thanks Jason! God bless!

    • For sure! Thanks Jaylynn.

  2. With all that Danny and I have faced recently, your words about how the enemy wants to tear us away from God’s truth really hit home, Jason. I copied the paragraph to share with Danny.
His surgery went splendidly today, but his heart’s pace may need some adjustment. Please pray for that and for complete healing!
    Blessings!

    • Martha, I’ll continue to pray! God’s grace, love, peace, and healing surround you both in Jesus’ name.

  3. Amen. There is such power in believing that ALL of God’s Word is true. He keeps ALL His promises.
It’s life changing when we begin to realize this. How I view circumstances and life/trials is changed by embracing the truths found in His Word.

I posted on this subject myself.
    Have a blessed day!

    • Awesome! You are so right, TC. Thanks so much.
