Hiding Is a Lie

hidingYou think you’re the first?
To try holding back, hiding–
That your pain is too great
Your hurt, too overwhelming
I have seen and I was there
The moment you were betrayed
The hour you cried out in fear
I was the light streaming
Through angry window shades
That tried to hold darkness in
I was the hope of your dreaming
Of a color-filled world and life
To break the drab spell of tears
I was the word spoken encouraging
Exposing then covering frailties
So you could see glimpses to freedom
And still, here I wait for you
Calling you to the place I Am
Trusting my voice to cut the noise
And draw you from the choking dark
That threatens you for daring
To exit your personal exile
Unwearied and undeterred, I work
Patiently and confidently, I wait

“Can a man hide himself in hiding places
So I do not see him?” declares the Lord.
“Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord. –Jeremiah 23:24

  1. I’m so glad Kari shared her Virtual Influencers. I’m new here, and quickly subscribed. God has listened to my cries for help, and although the circumstances are yet to change . . . I am closer to Him than ever before. What a blessing to be yoked to the One who shoulders my burdens. Many blessings Jason, and thank you.
