I AM, No Coward

I am no coward

Though my enemies

Would have me believe as much

The whispers, the lies, the reminders

Of failures, of lacks, of limitations

I am no coward

This fight won’t end with death

But it began with it

The strength, the resilience, the grace

Is found in Father, Son, and Spirit

I am no coward

The adventure of obedience

Is beyond all earthly thrills

The heart, the purpose, the destiny

It groans, it growls, it fights

The life I live is His

I AM–no coward so

I am no coward

I’m proud to praise God,
proud to praise God.
Fearless now, I trust in God;
what can mere mortals do to me? –Psalm 56:10-11 (MSG)

Amen to that! My confidence is in Him and the fact that He hold my times in His hands!

    • Amen! Thank you, Jay.

  2. Good word Jason. Reminds me of 2 Timothy 1:7.

    • Yes! And we are not slaves again to fear, but by the spirit of adoption, we cry, “Abba, Father!” Thank you, Bill.

  3. My Confidence is in Him and Him Alone, My savior Jesus Christ !

    • He is the ultimate confidence booster! 🙂 Thanks Andrew.

  4. I love that verse. The world that we revere is sitting in the palm of our Father’s hand with us, which means they have nothing over us… Excellent word today, Jason. Very encouraging. Thanks.

    • Be bold, be strong, fear not… These are my lifelines. 🙂 Thank you, Floyd.

  5. Praise God we are victorious in Him. The world will tell us otherwise, but when our hearts are set toward heaven, the world’s logic seems so silly.

    • It is amazing how that happens, isn’t it? Common sense seems ridiculous when stacked up against His peace, joy, and love. We may hesitate to trust, but He always comes through and proves Himself faithful. Thanks TC.
