God’s emphasis is not on our doing as much as our being.

And for discussion: little deeper thinking this week–do you feel you’re living your calling? Why or why not?

  1. I posted the second part of TC’s post from last week. Thanks for all your work and heart this week. I enjoyed all of them! You didn’t know I’ve become a internet stalker! God bless, brother.

    • Thanks, Guys.
You both encourage me so much.

Thanks, Jason introducing me to new bloggers and posts I missed this week.

      • And thank you too, TC!

    • Thanks so much, Floyd! 🙂

  2. I included a great post by an internet friend of mine. I have always related to *doubting Thomas* -- and I loved this post that she wrote. Hope others enjoy it, too.

As to your question, it’s a good one. You know, I’ve been blogging for 4 1/2 years now. Actually never, ever thought I’d “get into it.” But I guess God had other plans. So, yes, in a way I do feel like I am living my calling. For I have always been a writer, a ponderer -- and blogging has provided an outlet for God to work in me, and through me. I so enjoy using words -- constructing posts is like Lego-building for me. Brick by brick, I enjoy the joy of building something out of nothing. And, if the finished product *speaks* to somebody -- well, that’s just God’s icing on the cake.

I still feel like I’d like to do some speaking/teaching somehow. Not sure what that would look like, but I’ve done it before and really enjoyed it. For now, I’m waiting on the Lord, and praying for some direction -- and wanting Him to tell me when it’s His time. Some part of me is feeling like right now, other than blogging, my *calling* is taking care of my mom who was widowed in January.

More than anything, I just want to know God and reflect Him to the world.

    • I feel that way too, Sharon! I never thought I’d get into blogging especially since I’ve never been able to consistently keep a journal, but the interaction with people I think is what really sealed it for me. I’ve always wanted to write and this an outlet for that, but beyond that, I simply want to encourage. Anyway, good thoughts and blessings to you as well!
