It was sort of a short week for me since I got back home on Tuesday afternoon, but I still managed to read some amazing posts this week that I’m all too happy to share. Part inspirational, part fascinating, and part hilarious—this Hit List has it all so check it out.
- It’s a Dad Life from Soulfari (Jay Cookingham)
- Faith Eliminate Problems from Building His Body (Anne Lang Bundy)
- How Much Death Do You Want? from Doorframes of Taterhouse (Ryan Tate)
- Glow-Stick Gratitude from High Calling Blogs (Michelle De Rusha)
- Tiger Woods’ Father Was Right from Psychology Today (some fascinating observations)
- Not Using Snopes.com or Google from Stuff Christians Like (Jon Acuff)
In honor of a conversation on Twitter yesterday that offered the correlation between snot and friendship (you don’t want me to get into it), here is this week’s not-so-random picture. Better out than in, I suppose…

Now that I’ve subjected you to the horror of that picture, please do me a favor and have an amazing weekend filled with God’s presence (and plenty of tissue for everyone who needs them).
I appreciate your prayer and support! If you have a favorite post you’d like to share or want to comment on one of my favorites, please go for it in the comments. Blessings!

That picture looks like me every morning when I get outa bed. Thanks bro.
How did you get a shot of my baby girl?
Great list of posts! A couple there I need to check out.
Awesome snot…I mean shot! God Bless ya and thanks for including me on your list Bro'
Jay
Remind me to never be drinking my coffee the exact same time I pull up your random picture on my google reader. I nearly spit coffee all over my keyboard. That girl could win an award for that.
And thanks for the hit on the hit list. Much love! Have a great weekend.
This is my unspoken goal, to make people spit coffee on electronic equipment.
And you are very welcome- I thought it was a great post.
Thank you Jay- that video was just hilarious (even if it was a little humbling)
Blessings!
We've had many such blowouts at our house- I just never thought to grab a camera before cleaning it up!
Thanks Dusty.
I hope not EVERY morning, that would be a bad deal being covered in mucus. Imagine if that were your Groundhog Day… ha!
Thanks Michael.
That's just nasty.
It is a natural body process. I don't see what's… Okay, yeah, it's really nasty.
Sweet fancy Moses!
That picture ALMOST makes me sorry for the conversation that precipitated it. But not really.
I have to quote Billy Coffey here: "SWEET FANCY MOSES!"
I prefer "Sweet Lincoln's Mole!" myself, but I definitely see where you're coming from.
Nah, you shouldn't feel bad! This is all for the best--it's building character in everyone who sees it. I hear if you stare at it for 20 minutes… well, I wouldn't advise that…
Thanks Michelle. I loved the post. It's very close to me for many reasons. It's along the same lines as some things I've been pondering lately and I'm sure I'll write about soon.
That picture. Oh. My. Gosh. I'd like to say I've never seen such a sight…but alas, I have kids, too.
Thanks for including my HCB post in your Friday list — so cool!
wow! grab a glass and make some phlegm-a-nade!
Ha! Gotta love the puns.
Thanks Bud.
Okay, so I was just scrolling down, thinking, "Hey, that's cool…I see she included the glow stick article by Michelle!" when I spotted the *snot*!
Oh my stars! That's a doozy!
HE included….embarrassing little typo there….
I'm so weird because just seeing it makes me laugh every time. And don't worry about the typo. I've been called much, much worse.
Thanks Ann!
Oh Mylanta… is it wrong that I desperately want to grab a tissue and wipe her nose?! I'm the same way about cutting fingernails or cleaning out dirty ears. I know, I have issues!
As promised… here's your comment… yes, I can type with my eyes closed… now to find the post button… oh, and… eeeeEEEEEEEeeeeww!!
That's what I told Wendy--the only way this picture was taken is that a dad/uncle/male relative was watching this child. Had to be! A mother would have wiped it quicker than anything. I don't think you can call that having issues.
I feel better. Thank you.
