More to Come

I wrote this as a song a couple years ago after my best friend had gone to be with Jesus. Maybe you can put your own melody to it and sing it for yourself…

Whisper your love in the morning
Filling the air with a fragrant song
You captivate me ’til evening
Grace takes my hand  for the whole night long
Weeping, it tried to arrest me
But You broke the hold and
You gave me Your strength
You show me again
Why my praise is all for You

Streams in the desert open wide
Savior, Redeemer, my sacrifice
Healer, Provider–all my life
I’ll sing
There is more to come

Open up my eyes
Lord, I see your light
Unfold words so bright,
I will enter

Streams in the desert open wide
Savior, Redeemer, my sacrifice
Healer, Provider–all my life
I’ll sing
There is more to come

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life. –Psalm 143:8 (NIV)

For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning. –Psalm 30:5 (NASB)

Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. –Isaiah 35:6

    • C’mon Bill, you don’t have to RECORD you singing it. 🙂 Thanks so much.

  2. Awesome, preacher. There is definitely more to come… The best… Amazing how God can inspire these type of beautiful words in times of sorrow… A wonderful Psalm, Jason. Wonderful…

    • Thanks so much, Floyd. I agree, it is amazing how God uses these experiences to reveal Himself. His grace is sufficient.

  3. Beautiful, thank you for sharing.

    • Thank you, TC. 🙂

  4. I think we should hear Bill sing it!

As I read your words, I could hear the comforting presence of God. There is most definitely more and better to come.

    • Ha! You’ll have to take that up with him. 🙂 And thank you, Dusty. He is infinite--there is more and greater!

  5. I will enter -- that line is standing out to me. Too often we stand on the edge of what God has for us and don’t walk into it. I want to enter. I will enter. Great stuff, Jason!
