Prayer of Steadfast Praise
Whispers and Shouts #21.
…a short burst of inspiration of what God is speaking to me, a prayer, a quote, a song, or whatever else.
7 My heart is steadfast, O God,
my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and make music.
8 Awake, my soul!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
Father, I praise You for releasing a spirit of strength upon your people, that we would be resolute and as the psalmist says, steadfast. There will be schemes, negative circumstances, difficult situations, and curses that want to overwhelm us as long as we are alive, but it can never change the reality that You are God and You are worthy.
Increase our tenacity to praise, to adamantly hold to offering our hearts and songs of worship in midnight hours and even the deepest darkness. May we be bold enough and abandoned enough that we would see the greatness of your majesty and mercy and respond accordingly, even boldly awakening dawn’s light!
Wake up, soul! Can’t you see God is good and He is great! Wake up, everything I have at my disposal to worship my King! Can’t you see it’s time to honor the Living One? The Alpha and Omega. Beginning and End. First and Last.
There is a stirring and this is an hour of rejoicing. No time for complacent sleeping. No time to dream. Time to pour out a heart of gratitude, to enter in behind the veil and see the richness of His glory.
You are doing great things, Father! You are opening doors no man can shut. The earth doesn’t know what to make of it and nations continue to rage against the King, but we exalt as we endure by the power of grace.
The heavens can’t contain You and the universe bows at your command. Yet You allow us to call You our Abba, our Daddy. This is too wonderful for me to fully comprehend or contain, but I will receive your strength and follow a steadfast path.
You never change, and Your word remains. I live to bless You…
What’s your word of praise today?
