Sanctuary: Drawing Deeper

1 : a place (as a church or a temple) for worship

2 : a place of refuge and protection

Meditating on the beauty He’s created and the power of His words…

Isaiah 12:2-4 (NASB)

“Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
For the Lord God is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.”
Therefore you will joyously draw water
From the springs of salvation.
And in that day you will say,
“Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name.
Make known His deeds among the peoples;
Make them remember that His name is exalted.”

Reminder: The Warrior Poet Circle returns Monday morning and we’re writing honest poetry from our spiritual passion so I hope you’ll come, share your heart, and maybe express yourself in a little different way. If you have a poem to contribute, come and share it with everyone. If not, read what others have written and I know you’ll enjoy it. The link widget will be here on Monday morning. See you then!

What’s your sanctuary this week? What thought, verse, etc. are you meditating on?

  1. As usual I can rejoice… LOVE seeing the falls falling. And, just seeing them, I can easily rejoice joyfully and exalt His name and HIM!

    • We have so many waterfalls around here we can take them for granted easily, but man, they are amazing! Nice to stop for a minute and ‘drink’ it in. Thanks so much, Joanne.

  2. Hi Jason, I am new to you and am interested in the Warrior Poet Circle. I love the lush falls picture and choice verse. But I am really glad to find another faith blogger who has some poetry interest. I will check out and link in the future. Thanks! In His Grace, Dawn

    • Yes, please join us on Monday. There is a link widget here to add your poem and you can write on whatever is on your heart. Thanks so much, Dawn. So glad you stopped by. Blessings to you! 🙂

  3. I’ve only seen one waterfall near Las Vegas, but it was a tiny one. Would love to see a beautiful one one of these days, but not Niagra falls, lol.
    But God’s waterfall in our daily lives sure does take my breathe away nonetheless.

    • We’ve got lots up here, Ed! They are beautiful. So are the spiritual ones. 🙂 Thanks so much!

  4. In this time of drought how good to know He has a limitless supply of everything we need.

    • Rain or drought, plenty or lack --He is the Provider and His word prevails. Thank you, Linda!

  5. So interesting that the theme this week has been ‘remembering and making his deed known’… Isn’t God awesome to keep giving us a message through others?

    • We are one body, of the same Spirit--but it still amazes me! Thanks so much, Sharon.

    • Thanks Traci. 🙂

  6. This fills me up in so many ways. You make His deeds known beautifully. Thanks for linking!
