Sanctuary: Fruitful Vineyard
Sanctuary–
1 : a place (as a church or a temple) for worship
2 : a place of refuge and protection
Meditating on the beauty He’s created and the power of His words…
Isaiah 27:2-5 (The Message)
“At that same time, a fine vineyard will appear.
There’s something to sing about!
I, God, tend it.
I keep it well-watered.
I keep careful watch over it
so that no one can damage it.
I’m not angry. I care.
Even if it gives me thistles and thornbushes,
I’ll just pull them out
and burn them up.
Let that vine cling to me for safety,
let it find a good and whole life with me,
let it hold on for a good and whole life.”
What’s your sanctuary this week? What thought, verse, etc. are you meditating on?

I love the simplicity of a definition. I love definitions…words to feed on. And Scripture…food for the soul. And a photo…a feast for the eyes. Thanks for the encouragement. (stopping by from Still Saturday) Kel

Kel, thanks so much!
God has been speaking something similar to sanctuary to me for more than a year. Oikos -- home, family, temple. This year I’ve heard some distinct derivatives -- Dwell and Abide.

Powerful and beautiful words! Thanks Cheryl.
Where I live the vineyards are starting to turn gold and yellow and they are very beautiful as the mountains change with the season.

My wife and I were in Northern California a couple of years ago and we just drove around the vineyards and drank in the sights--so amazing! That’s when I took this picture actually. I would love to visit again. We just loved it. Thanks Sharon.
