Sanctuary: Heavens Sing

1 : a place (as a church or a temple) for worship

2 : a place of refuge and protection

Meditating on the beauty He’s created and the power of His words…

Psalm 19:1-3 (NASB)

The heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Day to day pours forth speech,
And night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words;
Their voice is not heard.

What’s your sanctuary this week? What thought, verse, etc. are you meditating on?

  1. SO pretty! Love it!

    • Thanks Ruthie. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. This verse was in the forefront of my thought when my husband and I recently visited Jekyll Island off the Georgia coast and saw the stars unpolluted by earthly light. So mighty are the works of my Savior’s hands!
    Thanks for sharing this with us all!

  3. Jason, remarkable photo……..from an airplane, I’m guessing? I shared the exact same verse yesterday on my Still Saturday photo/verse post. Yes, thank God for ‘talking skies.’

    • It is from an airplane. It was a beautiful morning. Filled me with worship! Cool how God whispers the same thing to our hearts at times to strengthen us. Thanks Jody.

  4. One of my favorite verses. Thank you.

    • It’s a beautiful meditation! Thanks so much, Patricia.

  5. The heavens are telling the glory of God…love that translation!

    • I appreciate it, Rona. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. God is so creative, this world has so much beauty…I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us in heaven. Talk about a sanctuary!

    • This is true! Colors, sights, sounds, tastes--like we’ve never known in heaven. Our job though is to allow heaven to come to earth through us, to agree with what He’s doing (according to Jesus’ model prayer) so we should increase in experiencing these things! I don’t fully understand all that, but I want to experience it. Thanks TC.
