Sanctuary: Honoring a Mother

1 : a place (as a church or a temple) for worship

2 : a place of refuge and protection

Meditating on the beauty He’s created and the power of His words…

Happy Mother’s Day

I chose this picture because my wife is an amazing mother and she blesses me every single day.
She just so happens to love the beach (this is from our family vacation last summer).

Proverbs 31:25-29
25 Strength and dignity are her clothing,
And she smiles at the future.
26 She opens her mouth in wisdom,
And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
27 She looks well to the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and bless her;
Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:
29 “Many daughters have done nobly,
But you excel them all.”

Reminder: The Warrior Poet Circle returns tomorrow and we’re writing honest poetry from our spiritual passion so I hope you’ll come, share your heart, and maybe express yourself in a little different way. If you have a poem to contribute, come and share it with everyone. If not, read what others have written and I know you’ll enjoy it. The link widget will be here Monday morning. See you then!

What’s your sanctuary this week? What thought, verse, etc. are you meditating on?

  1. Thanks for the Mother’s Day wishes! I’m blessed to stand in the place God has called me. It’s fun to watch Him work so mightily all around us!! Blessed because of Him.

    • Absolutely. You bless me so much! 🙂 happy Mother’s Day.

      • Get a room you two….

        • Maybe we will. 🙂

  2. You obviously DO have a loving wife who is a loving Mother. And it’s a blessing to see you honor her. [Those verses are nice from YOU… my husband adores me, but knows better than to say them to me. I’m just not a very early-morning- doing-stuff-person.] 😉
