Sanctuary: Led to Abundance

1 : a place (as a church or a temple) for worship

2 : a place of refuge and protection

Meditating on the beauty He’s created and the power of His words…

Psalm 66:8-12 (NLT)

Let the whole world bless our God
and loudly sing his praises.
Our lives are in his hands,
and he keeps our feet from stumbling.
You have tested us, O God;
you have purified us like silver.
You captured us in your net
and laid the burden of slavery on our backs.
Then you put a leader over us.
We went through fire and flood,
but you brought us to a place of great abundance.

Reminder: The Warrior Poet Circle returns Monday morning and we’re writing honest poetry from our spiritual passion so I hope you’ll come, share your heart, and maybe express yourself in a little different way. If you have a poem to contribute, come and share it with everyone. If not, read what others have written and I know you’ll enjoy it. The link widget will be here on Monday morning. See you then!

What’s your sanctuary this week? What thought, verse, etc. are you meditating on?

  1. Really love the photo. And, of course, the whole world MUST bless our God and sing His praises… that’s the only survival skill from now TO eternity and THROUGH eternity. I’m so looking forward to it.

    Thanks much.

    • It is quite a wonderful thought--eternal worship and adoration--and we may as well get started now. 🙂 thanks Joanne.

  2. Yes, God is our Sanctuary and we are safe in His arms! In every circumstance He is there…He comforts, He heals and He loves. He is so worthy of our praise!

    Blessings, Joan

  3. Thanks for bringing to my attention a Psalm I’ve not read many times before. I love the bridge — where is it? I truly feel my best when I remember that I can rest in His arms. Thanks for the reminder.
