The Great Reach of Grace

First off, thanks for those who entered and our randomly selected winner is…

Dusty Rayburn!

Congratulations! I’ll send you your choice of digital copy of the book as soon as I get your information. Hope you are blessed and encouraged by this book!

CureWebNormally as we’re picking new books for our book club, I look to ones I haven’t read before. I’m constantly moving on to the next things–it’s in my nature I suppose. But this book is different to me. I recently finished it and felt strongly that it would be a great one for our book club to cover.

It’s not new information. It’s all in scripture. It’s all in knowing and accepting the work of grace, but there’s something about it that sticks with you. This book is accessible and probing in a way I have rarely felt.

I admit, it could be due to the stage of my journey in Christ right now. I’m very aware of these things as I have faced turmoil in moving my family and finding my place in a familiar, yet unfamiliar  environment. The upheaval brings things to the surface and stuff I thought wasn’t an issue becomes an issue.

It’s incredible how we can extol the greatness of grace, yet feel it’s up to us to measure up, control sin, and change ourselves. I feel like I’ve been relearning and this book is part of that.

All that to say, this book has been the reach of God’s grace into my life. He doesn’t give up and won’t relent until He brings about the fullness of His purpose for each of us. He’s not content to let you wallow in self-pity. He’s not going to allow you to settle into legalism or pretending–not without a fight.

For this reason, I hope you’ll read this book with us. If you have a blog, it would be amazing for you to join in with those who add to the discussions through the widget and see where God takes us.

I honestly feel it will be nothing short of life-changing.

How about you? Will you join us? Or how have you felt God’s grace in your life recently?
