Warrior Poet Circle: Freedom’s Reach

My spirit, my soul
My mind, my heart
My emotions, my will
My desires, my passions
My dreams, my plans
My body, my health
My cells, my DNA
My past, my present
My future, my inbetweens
My relationships, my marriage
My money, my working…

How much freedom did Jesus intend?
Surely He emptied heaven’s reserves
How many parts did he bring freedom to?
All of them so I resolve to be a man
Tenaciously holding
Vigorously standing
Gloriously displaying
Christ alive with freedom’s reach

Happy Memorial Day. It’s an honor to acknowledge the many men and women who have given their lives for my freedoms. The highest honor, of course, goes to my Savior who enables true freedom expressed in His perfection. I am so thankful for all His gifts and blessings.

If you have a poem to add, please add it to the widget and be sure to visit the others who are a part too. Thank you!

  1. Powerful poem Jason. We have it all, the gift of God and understanding the mysteries of the cosmos because of it gives us freedom beyond out flesh. The flesh is bound, only true freedom lives within the soul that belongs to Him.

    Have a blessed Memorial Day.

    • I’m just blown away at how much He wants freedom for my whole self! It’s evidenced in how much He gave to provide it for me. All I have to do is surrender. Just humbling beyond words.

Thanks Floyd. Happy Memorial Day to you too.
