Warrior Poet Circle (Vol. 30)

Where Hope Stirs

Pride had kept me locked inside
Out of reach from the touch of Your hand
Fear broke windows and pushed in
Doors You had gently and patiently knocked on
Stubborn wounds begged me not to trust
Your gentle words that draw me closer
What these specters failed to remove
Was the longing in my heart for true freedom
I run to hear the voice speaking to me
My soul hears, “I am Your Healer”
Brokenness finds rest, pieces find peace
As renewal flows from Your hand
Captured by the image of glory before me
Revealed restoration plays out like a Broadway production
I return over and over to this place
Where hope stirs and freedom abides

  3. That is good stuff… Much emotion captured from the inside out. “Stubborn wounds begged me not to trust.” Who can’t relate to that? No one being honest I suspect…
