Warrior Poet Circle (Vol. 32)

The Move Ahead

Carry your call and be carried in grace
Use wisdom to walk in risky terrain,
Through lonely valleys and evil days
Time is yours to grasp and redeem
Like a trainer breaking a wild stallion
Or an investor skillfully increasing wealth
You are not foolish, but understanding!
Do the godly good you were made for
Father’s will and heart guide perfectly
Fear has no place, no hold on your mind
You’ve made the corner to freedom’s release
Each step resounds to the joy of eternity
And heaven is amplified before the sons of men

15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, 16making the most of your time, because the days are evil. 17 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. –Ephesians 5:15-17

  4. God does make us to be wise. The more we strive for Him and His will first the more fulfilled we are and the more peace we have…

    Excellent one.

  5. I didn’t link up to my site. I forgot it was Warrior Poet day. Besides…. poetry isn’t exactly my strong suit…

Too often I wrestled the wind
    Unwilling to yield or bend

    Never looking before the leap
Ever remembering that which I reap

Similar to taming a wild horse
Slowly learning God chooses my course

Straight is the path though very narrow
My repentant heart pierced like an arrow

The life now lived at a different pace
A new perspective due to His grace

The gift of this life is to learn in advance
There is no single thing given to chance

Our free will was given by way of a choice
To follow the Great Shepard and call of His voice

Our lives have been redeemed by way of the cross
Our souls shall not suffer nary a loss

His grace has purchased our hearts made a knew
My soul overflows with thoughts of a humble “Thank You”
