Whispers and Shouts (#16)

A short burst of inspiration and what God is speaking to me, a prayer, a quote, a song, or whatever else…

What I tell you now in the darkness, shout abroad when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear! –Matthew 10:27

It’s all about trust. And God is bringing us to a place where faith is no longer an option or a luxury–it’s a necessity.

–Cherie Hill, The Ways of God: Finding Purpose through Your Pain (disclosure)

I have to say I’ve experienced this many times.
I would love to hear how you’ve found this to be true in your life.

  1. Reluctantly we use our faith until God blows are world apart… then it is all we have… And it is perfect peace and joy.

    • I’ve found sometimes it’s God dismantling ungodly structures and systems that we’ve either built or entertained. It can feel like He’s picking on us or pulling a ‘sink-or-swim’ maneuver, but it’s always His kindness and love throwing us a lifeline. Thanks so much, Floyd.

  2. I’ll never forget last November’s Friday night service at ICLC when we sang How great thou art and Heaven came down in that sanctuary in Shawnee. Also Just after Easter we as a family attended a conference here locally in Minneapolis and Here in Minneapolis the spirit is not of the Holy Ghost, But that will not stop us from doing the work of God ! In this conference we prayed and took a stand for our city and we shouted and did a Holy Ghost Shout. And I can feel the presence then I heard The Lord say to me this is what Heaven is like when one person joins the family. So Holy Ghost shouting is the best kind of shouting you can have and do.
